China continues to increase LNG purchases in June 2026, albeit at minimal pace

MOSCOW. Aug 18 (Interfax) - China continued to increase its purchases of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in June 2026, though at a modest pace. All major Asian economies—China, Japan, South Korea, and India—ramped up LNG imports during the summer demand peak, drawing volumes away from the European market.
