ASTANA. Aug 7 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - The Central Asian countries have approved the development of a draft plan to implement an automated water metering system in the Syr Darya River basin. The decision was made at a meeting of the Interstate Coordination Water Management Commission in Turkestan, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan reported.
