Kazakh police foil smuggling of 17 tonnes of fuel in two-month crackdown

ASTANA. June 22 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Kazakh police have prevented the illegal export of nearly 17 tonnes of fuel over the past two months, the Interior Ministry said Monday, as authorities intensify a border crackdown ordered by the prime minister to safeguard domestic supplies.
