Kazakh Senator criticizes agricultural subsidies as sector underperforms


ASTANA. June 19 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector continues to contribute only about 5% to GDP despite billions in state subsidies, Senator Sultanbek Makezhanov said during a Senate plenary session on Wednesday.
