Kazakhstan passes peak flood season, maintains high water discharges in some regions

ASTANA. April 14 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - The peak of the spring flood season has passed at reservoirs in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe, Kostanay, and West Kazakhstan regions, the country’s Emergency Ministry reported Sunday. However, controlled water discharges remain underway in other regions to manage excess flow.
