COVID restrictions to be tightened in Almaty amid 4-fold increase in infections


ALMATY. July 22 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - At a meeting of the Almaty coronavirus prevention task force the city chief medical officer state, Zhandarbek Bekshin, said that in the first three weeks of July, over 12,000 coronavirus cases were registered in-town, or 300% more than in the same period in June, the city mayor’s press office said in a statement.
