Kazakhstan appoints new first deputy defense minister, Armed Forces chief of staff
ALMATY. Jan 19 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed Maj. Gen. Kanysh Abubakirov as the First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of Kazakhstan's Armed Forces, the presidential press service announced Saturday.
