Kazakhstan introduces progressive income tax, higher VAT in new Tax Code

ALMATY. Jan 5 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Kazakhstan's new Tax Code took effect Jan. 1, implementing a major overhaul that increases the value-added tax, introduces a progressive scale for personal income tax, and simplifies the regime for businesses and self-employed individuals.
