Kazakh leader says 2022 unrest was pre-planned, trials and weapons search continue

ALMATY. Jan 5 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said Monday that judicial proceedings are still underway over mass unrest that shook Kazakhstan in January 2022, and that law enforcement continues to search for thousands of weapons stolen during the violence.
