Qarmet increases crude steel production by 9% to 2.5 mln tonnes in Jan-Aug

ASTANA. Oct 21 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - The Qarmet steel plant (formerly ArcelorMittal Temirtau) produced over 2.5 million tonnes of crude steel in the first 8 months of 2025, a 9% increase year-over-year, Yerbol Ismailov, Managing Director for Sustainable Development at Qarmet, told Interfax-Kazakhstan news agency.
