Kazakhstan National Bank maintains base rate at 16.5% amid inflation concerns

ALMATY. April 11 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - The National Bank of Kazakhstan has opted to maintain its base rate at 16.5%, with a +/-1 percentage point corridor, affirming its moderately tight monetary policy stance to tackle persistent inflationary pressures.
