Kazakhstan may borrow $1 bln from international banks for expansion of Almaty metro

ASTANA. Dec 18 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - The construction of new metro lines in Almaty will require up to $1 billion worth of borrowed funds; the Kazakh government are in talks with international institutions about a loan facility, said the mayor of Almaty, Yerbolat Dossayev.
