Qarmet's Kostenko coal mine resumed operations in February 2024

ASTANA. Oct 11 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - The Kostenko Mine of Qarmet (formerly ArcelorMittal Temirtau) has successfully resumed coal production in February 2024 after a thorough recovery from the devastating fire that occurred in October 2023, claiming the lives of 46 miners, according to the company's CEO, Vadim Basin.
