Kazakhstan citizens approve nuclear power plant construction - CEC

ALMATY. Oct 8 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - In a strong display of support, 71.12% of citizens who participated in the nationwide referendum on October 6 endorsed the construction of a nuclear power plant (NPP) in Kazakhstan, as announced by Central Election Commission Chairman Nurlan Abdirov, who confirmed the referendum's validity and the approval of the NPP project.
